Multiple domain under one account This post is outdated

Hi,

Can we have two shopify accounts under the same email account? I would like to set up another online store with a different name, but I want to manage under my same email account for easier tracking and archiving purposes. If it's possible, how do I access the two different sites under the same account, i.e. how do I change from one to another?

You can have as many stores as you'd like with the same email address.  http://www.shopify.com/login asks you for your store's domain in addition to your email address and password.

Hi Craig,

Can we have one store with different domains under the same account?

Yes.  You can have as many domains as you'd like, but it's best for SEO purposes for them to all redirect to one main domain.

I would just like to verify so that I understand, is it possible to have two shops that are managed from the same back office?

(Possibly the same question as Andrew's: Can we have one store with different domains under the same account?)

An example: I make and sell fine art and jewelry, but I also sometimes sell supplies and would like those to appear as different stores, but may want to manage them from the same back office.

And, is there a separate fee for something like this?

Hi!  Yes, I have an additional domain name that I'd like to host a specific part of my collection on.  I do NOT want to do a re-direct.  Can I open up an additional store and have it link to my existing shopify admin to have all my info in one spot?

An answer on this would be fantastic! I'd hate to have a different email account set up just to host another completely different business through shopify

Hi Everyone!

You can only have one shop per admin. You cannot manage multiple shops within one login.

If you are wanting to sell certain products under another domain, you would need to open another shop to have that item and domain listed :)

You can use the same email address for your shops if you'd like.

I hope that helps!

I realize this post hasn't been added to in five months, but I wanted to put my vote for allowing multiple stores to be managed from one login and the same billing account. Offering a discount for using Shopify for all my etail needs would be nice. Three logins is a pain.

I second Stephen Jones on this one. Shopify payments offers volume discounts, and it would be nice if these applied over the sales made on multiple Shopify storefronts when owned by a single user.

Not to mention the hassle of having to log in/out to access different account dashboards.

I agree with Jeremy Canterbury and Stephen Jones. An option for one back end and a volume discount for sales made over different stores would be great, especially for sole traders and micro/small business.

Is it possible to copy/paste one shop into antoher one?

I'd like to repeat Mat Goo's question. I have custom email notifications and all sorts of settings that I'd like on a second side. How do I copy a store?

I, too, currently run my jewelry business on Shopify and am in the process of organizing an artisan co-op to also run an online store and use the Shopify POS system.  It would be a HUGE bonus, if we could have our main Shopify plan with the option for each of our co-op members to piggy-back their smaller shops off of the co-op at a discounted rate.

Hey guys,

If you have more than one store on shopify you can use our new app ShopSync to manage your inventory.  It allows you to add all your shopify stores to a central location and group by sku to update quantities etc.  We are working on adding more features now so your feedback is welcome.  The app has a free 30 day trial so please do try it out!

I think you can copy a store by downloading the theme and uploading it to another store.

This won't copy your products and inventory though, just the shop theme (any maybe the pages, but I'm not sure)

Can we use "Shop Sync" to syncronize different webstores into one POS system too?

Please do something about storefronts or even syncing stock and other important information between 2 accounts.

Personaly i would need at least 2 shops or 2 storefronts to seperate retail from wholesale. I craft my own products and such a function is very important. Shopify is missing that and it forces me to look elsewhere.

Has this been updated - or can we get some info on when this will be possible?  It's a relatively "easy" backend design for Shopify to implement - and the ability to draw and manage inventory from one central Shopify account (as well as manage customers, etc.) is clearly a major need for small shop owners. This should be something easily done in Shopify - without having to go to an outside vendor for a syncing tool.

Looking forward to a reply - and quick solution!

I have personally chatted with a Shopify guru about this and even showed him an example of another platform doing it. They said they are looking into it and maybe there will be a change towards it sometime this year, but don't hold your breath...that was a vague response :(

Maybe you should give https://apps.shopify.com/wrappapp a try. It's still in beta but it could be the missing solution.

I'm trying to connect to wrapapp since yesterday but I get a "fatal error" when I register. Does it work for you ?

So if I'm understanding correclty , even its been a couple of years , but for shopify still if you wish to have two different types of business under two different domains , you gonna need to open up two shopify accounts and manager them ,it doesn't matter if you're basic plan or plus plan ,that is it . Right ?

I have to agree with Stephen, Jeremy, and Carla. When you are managing several shops and all financial info is the same, there should be a way to do so from one main account even if there is an additional convenience charge.

Hi All,

My name is Karen and we are launching an app this autumn that allows you to sync ALL of your stores and view them either individually or collectively in our dashboard. We alllow you to upload a cost price as well, so we report on your porfitability, again across one or all of your businesses collectively.

Our beta is still open, so it you'd like to try for free, please click on our logo above and fill in the contact page. Beta is open for another couple of weeks, then we enter the testing phase.

We know retail and we're committed to your business growth.

Kind regards,

Karen
