Payment Gateway PAYU Integration This post is outdated

How to Integarte PAYU payment gateway. It is not in the list of supported gateways for India. Help!

Hi Raghunandan!

At the moment, the payment gateways we're integrated with in India is pretty slim - DirecPay and Paypal. I've added your request to add PAYU as another payment gateway to our internal feature request forum. Should this become available, we'll shoot you an email. I don't have any idea of timeline though.

Thea,

Can you please fasten the process of adding PayU in India. We have no options in India. Direcpay is very cumbersome.. Please help us.

 

Is there a way we can integrate it with Shopify?

Hi there,

I have also added your email address so that you're notified should this integration takes place. I have also spoken to the person who is in charge of payment gateway integrations - PAYU is on his radar! I can't give any timelines at the moment.

Hope it's soon - you aren't the only two looking for this integration.

Hi there

Can you make Citruspay payment gateway for India available? This amongst the most popular payment gateways in India.

I already have a store on Shopify and I have Citruspay merchant Id but, at the moment is there any way I can link it to my store on shopify?

Hi Thea,

We are the most prominent fashion company in Argentina and run our store www.jackiesmith.com with shopify. Our retail store is extremely successful but we have to process payment on the phone because Shopify does not integrate with any local payment gateway (paypal is not an option in Argentina)

Can you please integrate PayU with Shopify for Argentina, as you have already done for India?

I believe that Shopify would enter this market big time if we solve this gateway issue. Most of the local fashion brands are implementing Magento because of Shopify`s lacking integration with a local payment gateway (you can take a look at www.rickysarkany.com or at www.prune.com.ar)

One comment though ; 

I could not help but noticed that you guys have solved the PAYU integration in India in about a month after  the  request. I see that for turkey it has been already been 6 months with no progress. 

Whats taking you guys so long. Huge potential here in Turkey for your business. You need to speed up.

Could you please make possible 'CCAvenue' Payment gateway for India. It's one of dominant payment gateways in India. It would be very helpful for Shopify India Customers.

Hi Thea;

I've been following this thread for quite some time about the developments on integration of PayU Turkey. Right now in Turkey, shopify merchants can only receive payments through Garanti POS (Aside from PayPal). In our country it can get very frustrating to get this bank's POS for a small business so it is a very restrictive situation both for Turkish merchants and your company's expansion in this market. Moreover, despite the fact that my company has this Banks POS system readily available, we are still waiting for PayU integration to open a store on shopify since it is very important for Turkish customers to pay in installments while making their buying decisions and PayU offers installment options for almost all of the credit cards in Turkey. I hope that might give you an idea about how important this integration is for our market. I think a lot of people would appreciate if you could make this happen as soon as possible.

Hello, I am also interested in having PayU integrated for Colombia. This is our best option for payments down here and I do not want to use Magento for my store. Can you please give us an update? You guys are missing out on a very large market in Latin America and PayU is the biggest player down here.

Hi, There is a UX issues with the PayU gateway integration that is leading to significant number of drop outs on the second checkout page. The strip of logos that are displayed to convey which options are supported by PayU are inaccurate. It misses out on the key payment options such as net banking, debit cards - maestro etc., and then other options like Amex and any international credit cards.

Instead it displays options of not so relevant options such as Discover, Diners club, JCB etc.,

The payment gateway itself is accurate but then we see a lot of drop outs before people even go to the payment gateway website. 

How can this be fixed?

PayU India seems to have two issues  with the new responsive checkout - 

1. Once the payment happens, then the redirection doesn't happen. Hence, no order is created and the page itself displays an error "did you mean checkout.shopify.com" . Picture attached.

2. On the checkout page before being redirected, the supported payment icons are not relevant to what PayU support. There is no way to change this either.

Does anyone know a payment gateway in India that supports responsive checkout and better something that supports onsite payments (payment is processed on Shopify instead of being directed to the website of the payment gateway)?

Hi,

This seems to be the common problem with all India Gateways, we are using Direcpay, and after updating to responsive checkout, the same problem appears where the order are not registered.

I believe all Indian payment gateways are offsite, which means, shopify has to re-direct to gateway site for payments.

Waiting for shopify to solve this critical issue.

Update: We've resolved the issue regarding orders remaining as abandoned checkouts. We are now working on determining the scope of this incident so that we can track it and determine what the next steps are. I'll repost once we have more information on how to do so eloquently. Thank you Gregory for the quick fixing part of the problem. We tried 3 transaction and they went through. However, the final page displays an incorrect order number. I am not sure where it is coming from. 

The order numbers in the backend and as communicated should be 119349 but what I see is something else 397748904. I think it is some internal transaction id between the Payment gateway and Shopify? I feel this will confuse the customer and also our support staff.

Looking for an early resolution on the above and other issues raised.

Issue seems to be resolved now with Direcpay as well, though incorrect order no. i showing at the thankyou page.

This i believe is the checkout no. being shown, instead of the order no. 

Please resolve it to show the order no. instead.

I am sailing in the same boat as well, posted this in the "One Page Chekout" thread and found this more relevant, so here is the post again.

Hi,

I would like to get your attention to the critical bug/issue we and several others are facing with new/responsive checkout here in India perhaps with the PAYU payment gateway.

When a user successfully completes his/her transaction, payment is getting captured through PAYU payment gateway, we do get payment notification email from gateway, user gets notification of card being charged, but what is not happening is this:

  • User does not get order confirmation email
  • User does not see that order in his/her account
  • We do not see that order being placed in shopify admin
  • Order is reflected as abandoned order in shopify admin and
  • There is no way we can edit that abandoned order into successful order

My dear good friend at korra.in is facing the similar problem.

We love the simplicity and usability in new checkout process but will not be able to keep it with this risk/bug/issue. We are following up with customers and processing orders manually without keeping a record in shopify.

Your attention to the matter is critical in order to save ourselves from some embarrassment.

Yeah, 2Checkout doesn't works receiving COP, payu or mercado pago are needed...urgent!!!
