T-shirt fulfillment services recommendations?

Hi

Is anyone is currently using T-shirt fulfillment services and how is your T-shirt experience?

I am launching a store that specialises in the latest season's anime T-shirts and apparel. I have tried one T-shirt fulfillment service so far, but the result was a unsatisfactory plastic feeling on the prints. The prints also allows some of background color of the shirt (black) to peek through.

I have seen some T-shirts (especially those made by Anajet printers), that have a better print quality without a plastic feeling over the prints. It will be good if the fulfillment company also offers other products such as mousepads, as I am planning to expand into other products after launching. Any recommendations?

Picture of my T-shirt mockup: http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0216/3182/products/download_1_1024x1024.jpeg?1458

Is there also anything I have to keep in mind while working with artists to design the artwork? Does cell CG or soft CG coloring style affects the printing process?

Thanks for sharing your experience and feedback.

Does printfection have shopify integration?

I can suggest using Printful

Printful has Shopify integration, so you can connect your store without having to program anything. Then all of your orders are automatically pushed to Printful, and are printed and shipped without any extra work.

Printful filfils not only t-shirts, but also hoodies, tanks, posters, mugs, canvas prints, and are constantly updating the offered products. You can check out the quality specs if you're interested.

Whatever you do, do not go through Shirts.io.  They seem legit, but they are far from it.  Poor customer service and communication.  Their fulfillment system has tons of bugs, and they would put the wrong addresses on tracking information all the time.  When I addressed these and several other issues with the company they dropped me as a client.  This company is not helpful in any way, I strongly suggest to stay away.  I am already much happier with Printful and Merchify.  They are much better solutions, and have excellent customer support.

Gonna shamelessly plug my own company here. Teelaunch - teelaunch.com. We don't quite have our API ready, but we print using Kornit DTG printers and a brand new ink that is 10x brighter than traditional Kornit ink. We stock tons of t-shirt brands and when you have an issue you talk directly to the owners and we personally take care of all your customer satisfaction issues.

The majority of orders ship within 1-2 days and since we're centrally located and use USPS your US based customers receive their orders in less than 3 days.

If you're interested in learning more contact me a support@teelaunch.com

Thanks

I have used Teelaunch for my shirts and not only is the quality better than traditional screen/silk printing I've used in the past but the turn around time for shipment was great.  Used them once and willl only do my printing through them!

Hello Kayin. I am in the same position. I was wondering which company you chose and also how has your experience been so far?

Having been through this myself, and having tried some of the shops that integrate with Shopify, I can say this: Look around and find someone near you that will do this.

I was lucky enough to discover a company 2 1/2 hours away from me that does print fulfillment at a better price, better quality, and faster shipping time...as well as customer service that cannot be beat. They didn't advertise, they don't integrate with Shopify, but they were worth finding and worth the little bit of extra effort to make it all work.

Take some time, look around and call places near you and see if they offer what you're looking for. It could wind up being well worth it.

Christopher -

I went on your site teelaunch.com. One thing that made me nervous was that you talk about how hi qaulity your shirts are but I can't find one real example of a shirt you printed on your site. They are all photoshoped. It seems like this would be the first thing you would want to show. Maybe I just missed it. Do you have any examples of your work?

Hey John,

You're right, it more that we haven't gotten a photographer hired to take some real life photos. We're actually working on a total re-design now on the site. Shoot me some artwork and your address and I can send you some samples.

**sorry didn't see this post until now I know its a month old and I'm probably way late to still get your business.

Don't use Printful. I have been very disappointed with their quality. Several shirts sent back because the design cracks and peels off after one washing. Now I have very unhappy customers. I would appreciate any recommendations if you can offer any.

Thanks!

I honestly can't recommend printpit.co.uk enough, they do custom t shirts and my AM told me they have hoodies, vests, bags mugs and some other stuff i can't remember coming in in the next couple of weeks but they also have a catalogue of best sellers so you can start your shop and it doesnt look brand new

if you are new to the apparel industry i think there are few things that you should know. Although you are able to print on demand, DTG is not the way to go if you are creating products for retail. Because of the  printing process, if you print on dark garments the garment needs to be pre-treated. The pre-treatement solution will always stain the garment (it comes out during was), however, noone wants to receive a shirt that they ened to wash right away in order to wear it. If you are able to buy in batches of 24 to 48 pcs at least, there are screen printing companies out there that can definitely assist you witht hat. We have been in the apparel industry as a decorator and cusom manufacturer for over ten years and have a very succesfull apparel brand so i know the process from both retail and manufacturing sides. Let me know if you need any help.

I have used Printiful before and find them very useful and they let you keep a lot of the profit. They print on good quality t-shirts and allow for easy integration into your store.

I was wonderign if anybody knew of a decent UK service that print on good quality and allow for me to keep a fair percentage of the profit. I have not found one that is totally suitable as of yet.

We work with https://sembly.run/ because of their prices and variety of blanks they have. Also we tried to reach some local printshops to manage stuff by ourselves, but this didn't work well.

Hey,

We have just launched our Shopify app at Inkthreadable! (find us on the app store)
We're a leading UK print-on-demand supplier and ship worldwide.

I'd be happy to clear up any questions about the printing techniques that are around :-)

Hey guys,

If you're looking to create t-shirts with great prints and fabrics, this startup will soon be launching their platform called Bambify where you can customize the design from their templates. Talked to the owners. Super friendly! You can sign up for their beta.

I'd recommend doing heat transfer (aka sublimation) since it bonds with the fabric rather than going over. You can make the shirt hella comfy by using a polyester/spandex composition (usually seen in athletic shirts). 95% poly and 5% spandex would do well.

I currently use Teelaunch and Printiful because their prices are about $12 a shirt including shipping. I can't find cheaper.

John Sigward-Waters     I just started a shop.  I like some of Teelaunch's prices and some of Printful's prices.  Is it confusing to sell items from both PODs in your store?  Is it weird for customers to receive two packages if they buy something that is from printful and then something that is from teelaunch?

I have to say that I have been using Velocityship for over 2 years and they are far superior to any fulfillment center we have used in the past. The system they have set up is the most up to date and sophisticated system... with great rates and extremely low error rate. With the high volume of shipping we do... we may have 1 or less errors a month. Our inventory levels are accurate and their dashboard is easy to use. Biomedical Research Laboratories.

Have you heard of Shirtee

I’m selling my own designs there and they’re great! You should check them out: https://www.shirtee.com/

The printed shirts and other products really are high quality. They’re taking care of the production, shipping and customer service, so really just all inclusive :D

They don’t have mousepads so far but apart from the usual printed shirts, hoodies and sweaters they print many other products such as doormats, carmats, coffee mugs, cushions etc. (https://www.shirtee.com/designer)

And they’re open to pretty much any suggestions coming from us designers. The communication is great :)
