Very low conversion rate. How do we fix it?

Hi,

So much great information here already. Thank you!

We launched our store exactly a month ago. We have anywhere between 50 and 150 visitors a day, depnding on how much advertising we do on a particular day. We've had several unique sales from people we don't know, but our conversion rate is only at 0.2%.

I would appreciate any input you may have on how to improve our conversion rate.

I realize the conversion rate may also have to do with the product itself or the price ranges. So if anyone has input about that, please do include it!

Our store is www.princie.com

Thank you in advance

Hey Lior,

The poor conversion rate could be as a result of the traffic that's coming to your site. Where are you at present driving traffic to your store?

If it's through ads might be worth tweaking it on the basis of the demographic info of the people who have already bought from your store and target more of the same crowd.

I have 3 ideas:

1) Add product reviews
You can use an app like Shopify Product Reviews (free) or Judge Me (pro)

2) Optimize your site's speed
Check your Google PageSpeed Insights for opportunities. Low hanging fruit is image optimization. You can use an app like Crush Pics to automatically compress them (without loss of quality), or you can manually do it with tinypng.com

3) Add more social proof
Adding reviews will help. You can also use an app like Covet Pics to pull in Instagram images from your page or hashtags (bonus you get more customer photos, and encourage engagement... "Tag us #princie to get featured")

Ok 1 more... I would make your add to cart button bigger, maybe experiment with different colors too. That's the action you want people to take on the product page, so make it big and bold.

Enjoy the adventure!

Hi!

I like your site a lot! Very good images showing the clothing and also including models size and height in the product descriptions. That is super helpful. You have products that are very marketable to the right audience. I think you just need to find the right demographic for your vibe. Maybe try an ad on Reddit for a festival subreddit? Time it before Coachella. Or before one of the other large music festivals. Make sure your ad demographics hit the proper age range.

Keep up the good work! Your site looks awesome. This is hard work, starting a business, and you need to stay focused and determined to succeed! Stay positive!!

Your Product or Service is Ill-defined?

Probably the number one reason I see that people aren’t getting the conversion rates they expect is that their web site does a poor job of explaining what they offer, what problems it solves, and how the site visitor will be better off after using, trying or buying it.

Test your Unique Value Proposition (UVPs)

Unique Value Propositions are positioning statements or incentives that make your offer unique or extra attractive or gain more perceived value in the eyes of your prospects.

Another one to add - install Hotjar and see what users are doing, and setup a custom poll to ask them questions (about price, if they're finding everything ok, etc)

Enjoy the adventure!
