Hi Martyn,

I like the site, the product you are promoting is a great idea since a lot of people like Dogs(especially these Pugs).

I suggest to add a Blog on the website. This blog will allow you to increase the number of relevant inbound links that will direct readers to the main parts of your website. Along with SEO, this will allow you to increase traffic to your website and the length of time that visitors spend on your site. You can even gain new customers also.

Thank you,
Appfreaker

Hey Martyn!

My name is Alice and I'm one of the Shopify Guru's, and I took a little look around your store!

Can I start off by saying how awesome your store idea is!  It literally made my day looking through the site! :-)

Firstly when I came on to the site, I noticed that the Logo/ Favicon that you have placed in the header seems to not be working quite right.  This may be due to an error feeding the image through, or that the source isn't coming from a https://, which means that the browser isn't reading it correctly.  It will be a quick fix, but it just stood out to me on landing on the page.

I really like the sections of the homepage, especially the section where you explain how the store works, with the slideshow of the steps.  This is a great touch with some lovely graphics, and explains the process nicely to customers!

It might be nice to include some more graphics or images on the top slideshow, where it has the slogan of 'Made for Humans', just so the image changes rather than having just the one static image (even though the pug is super cute, but you can never go wrong with more pugs! :-) )

The only other feedback I would have aside from adding the blog, would be when the store gets off the ground.  It may be nice to have your 'Phug 'graphics on different products, not just the t-shirts.  I can visualize them on items such as mugs, bags, or even notepads.  I think there is great room for expansion of the brand to move into different areas other than just clothing!

I hope that this feedback is of use to you, and if you need anything else the Guru Team are happy to help out with any issues you run into.

Best of luck with the site and global Phug domination!

Hi Appfreaker,

Thanks for taking the time to visit and review our store ( it's much appreciated ).

Im glad you like our store and think our idea is a good one.

I have been tooing and throwing as to have a blog included within the store or not from the begining - many of the reasons being - what do you blog about? how relevant is the information you are blogging? how much time to spend creating / editing and publishing blog articles ? and how frequent would i have to commit to thinking of new editorial content aswell as product design.

However after your response im glad to say that i have now created a blog with a twist which will hopefully add a different dynamic to our blogs for our customers and will hopefully as you say help with additional traffic and seo improvements.

Thanks Again

Martyn

Hi Alice,

Thank you for taking time out to visit and review our store - your shopify guruness is much appreciated.

Im glad that you like our store and the idea that we have developed - it's really nice to hear from our point that the store is being well received.

Regarding the Fav icon/ logo not working correctly - could you ellaborate a little as i am unsure as to what is exactly not quite working.

We had considered adding a few more pugs to the top section of the slider - but went against it as we didnt want to distract from the bottom slider which as you so nicely put it - explains our process to the customers.

After you had mentioned the blog - i am glad to say that i have developed a blog with a twist which will hopefully add something to our store -  my main worry with blogging or adding a blog was how to be relevant to the customer? how to not blog for blogging sake! - if you get what i mean?

You can see our new blog by clicking the link below

I totally agree - we believe that the Phugs brand has got massive scope for expansion into other areas appart from just t-shirts - however we didnt want to bombared our customers with a million different items at once - but instead focus on a particular item and grow from their. "baby steps" or in our case "puppy steps"

Just wanted to thank you again for taking the time out to provide constructive feedback - it is always much appreciated and can only help us get better.

Thanks Again

Martyn

The logo doesnt show up for me when I view the site. It looks like an old school broken link type of icon.

Are you in love with the red font/theme? Personally I think a different color would be more friendly/inviting - less alraming and urgent.

Hi Mybrandboost,

Thanks for lloking at our site and providing your thoughts.

regarding the broken logo - could you please tell me what operating system you are using and the type of browser in-order for us us to fix this issue.

As you can see it seems compatible on most browser types that we currently use:

Regarding the red colour theme - we like the colour as we feel it represents our brand and the way we want to represnt our image. The issue with colour choices is that their is that many colours, shades, and themes you could go for in-order to get the perfect balance and not ward of potential customers due to subliminal messages because of what a colour may represent to them.

So in the end we decided to go for our gut intuition and red was the colour of choice.

You never know we may decide to change the colour going forward but for the forseable future we are going to stick with the red.

But thanks for your thoughts on that matter as we are aware people can be put of by a variety of different reasons.

Thanks Again

Martyn
