Incorrect photos displaying on Facebook.

Can anyone tell me how to customise my products on Facebook.  Facebook is showing secondary variant images rather than the collection image. How do I set this to display the correct image? I've paid to promote my site how ever the images look bad.

Hey, Kim!

Alex here from the Shopify support team.

Currently, Facebook uses an algorithm to display which product image they think will get the most clicks, and automatically selects that image from the variant images in the products. Facebook will only select the main Product image if no variant images exist. Sadly, at this time, there is no way from the Shopify admin to control which image is chosen to display.

One way you work around this and force Facebook to show your main product images, within these parameters, would be to create two duplicate products, each visible on only one channel (Facebook or Online Store). The Facebook-visible products would default to the Product images if no variant images were uploaded.

I hope this helps! Feel free to follow up with any other questions or get in touch with our support team if you run into any issues while duplicating or editing the products :)
