Hey, Raminn!

Congratulations on launching your first store, and may I say good for you for coming here to ask for feedback -it's a great way to gain insight about how to improve your store.

Right of the top you said you're working on developing social proof but I don't see a link to your Instagram on your website so you'll miss any opportunities to gain followers if they land on your page directly. You can add your social links by going to Online Store> Themes> Customize> Theme Settings> Social Media and then add the appropriate link. This guide outlines the exact steps in more detail.

As for your website in general I would say it currently looks unfinished. When building an online store you want visitors to have a memorable experience. They should feel a connection to your brand in the images, words, and products. Building a brand is a very important aspect of business in general but especially in e-commerce. I highly recommend you read through this post on our blog about building a brand from scratch, as well as this one about creating a brand personality.

I've also got some specific feedback to give on your homepage.

1. The logo is very dark and small making it hard to read. Think about making it larger but also using the same colour background as the website because right now the square looks unintentional.

2. At the top of your homepage I recommend using a wider image, or a slideshow. You want to delight the visitors with interesting product photography instead of jumping right into hard selling them.

3. I highly recommend adding a Contact Us link to your header and/or footer navigation. It's very important that customers are able to contact you for information related to your products but especially if they have questions about their order.

I hope this helps!

Hey Ash, really thankful for your comment ! I followed your advice and took some changes on my homepage. I also changed my logo so it suits my background better. I am not sure if I completely applied your advice, so i would be reeally happy for another proofchecking. Thanks!!

Hi there Ramin,

I love your shop, it is amazing!

Just a few things. Make sure that all product pictures have the same dimensions - no white frames of course. Also, there are no social media links (Instagram & Facebook), maybe you should add them.

Last, into to contact us page I would prefer the contact form to be aligned in the middle.

Good luck!

You're very welcome, Raminn!

You new logo is much improved -great work. I also love that you added more information in your header and footer navigation. It's very important that customers are able to contact you if they have questions about their order. I've seen many times where customers are upset if they email the store and they get no response, this can lead to chargebacks. Glad to see you added the Contact Us link.

Now that you've improved those things let's look at something else:

This is what customers will see when they land on your website. Do you find this inspiring or interesting to look at? I do not. There's a lot of text for someone to read before they know where they are. I suggest you add some easy and quick-to-read text over top of an inspirational image that contains one of your products. The best thing to do would be to order a few of your products (you can sell them after) and find some attractive friends to photograph in yoga poses. Mobile phones have great cameras, it doesn't have to be a fancy photoshoot. If you aren't able to take your own photographs then find some stock photography that fits your brand and use that. Ideally the image would have your products, so it may just end up being from the supplier if you can't take your own photos.

Continue thinking about how you can improve the words you use. For example, in your navigation one of the menus says 'Home Improvement'. This is a phrase we would normally reserve for referring to home repair, not yoga and wellness products. Consider changing it to 'Wellness' or 'Spiritual Accessories'. The same goes for your products titles. Currently most of your product titles sound like they come from the supplier, such as 'Aurora Halo Crystal Bracelets 925 Silver' -that's not a very spiritually inspiring name. Think about how you can change the names of your products so they more closely align with your brand.

Remember this link I sent you about brand personality? Make sure to read through it again. Think of your store as a person. If they are representing your business you want this person to be consistent with the image you're trying to portray. The words they use, the clothes they wear, they way they look. It all has to fit together. Continue working on creating consistency in your brand. The clearer vision you have, the clearer it will be to your visitors and the more inspired they will be to purchase.

Keep up the good work, keep improving your brand.

It just keeps getting better, Raminn!

Something I noticed is that on your Instagram you are getting positive comments but you aren't responding to almost any of them. Responding to comments is very important especially at the beginning. It builds community as well as social proof and trust which are both very important. I know it can be hard to know what to say in the short term but taking the time to write back a thoughtful response will be rewarding for your business in the long term. Make sure you're adding the same or similar content to your Facebook channel, which I noticed is not properly connected properly.

Building a brand is an ongoing process that never ceases. Keep refining your website but in the meantime I suggest you start bringing traffic to your site. I recommend using our app Kit to help you target the right customers. Make sure your create a campaign that lasts for at least 30 days because you need steady traffic (min 1000 visits every 30 days).

I’d love for others to chime in about their experiences and advice!

Thanks ash ! Unfortunately, kit only allows to run ad campaigns for 7 days.. do you think it's worth it to do it anyway ? I am thinking about paying some instagram accounts with around 60-80k to promote my store, what do you think ?
