Feedback please, low sales on photographic work

I sell photographic prints, mostly my "vintage" images. This month is the 1st anniversary of switching my store to Shopify.

To date, I've had 3 sales online.

Last year, I spent over $500 on Xmas-season advertising (mostly via Facebook), which led to a $33 sale, netting about $20.

I have an online following, write regular blog posts (on my main site) linked to products. I get plenty of traffic there -- over a thousand sessions a month with 2500 page views -- some of which trickles through to my shop (linked from raymondparkerphoto.com). During the same period, traffic to my shop has been just 21 visitors, which Shopify assures me "is in the top 16% of stores that launched the same week as you."

Wondering whether to invest in another year. Perhaps my products -- limited and open edition prints, posters and cards -- aren't right for online sales. My work is backed with a solid CV, collected in public, private, and corporate collections.

Any advice, ideas, critique of shop design would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Raymond Parker

Hi Raymond - love your photos! Going to be honesy...when I went to your site it felt uncreative and not really something I was expecting from a photo site. Your site felt corporate to me. I woudl suggest you change the theme to really showcase your photos (which are great!). BIG images, vibrant layout, etc.

Thanks for your feedback Kieran. Are you referring to my main site, or shop? My main site does have big images, up to 2000 px, and is responsive, depending on your device.
