PayPal Payments Pro and Checkout Buttons
My client has PayPal Payments Pro setup as the only active payment option. I'm using the Radiance theme, and the cart page shows a standard checkout button as well as a PayPal button. I want to just use the standard checkout button to process payments through PayPal (i.e. and hide the PayPal button if possible so the user won't be confused). If I click on the standard checkout button, it goes to a standard Shopify checkout page but does not collect credit card information, it just goes straight to ordering without collecting the credit card. If I click on the PayPal button, it goes to a PayPal checkout page (but does it collect user info in Shopify too?).
Is there any way to consolidate into one checkout button that both collects buyer information in shopify and collects credit card info in PayPal. I thought this was the standard workflow, but something isn't working right. Thanks in advance.

No one has any answers for this?

You can hide the paypal checkout button from the cart page by changing liquid template and hide it from checkout page using css. In fact, I do not understand why the button is so prominent at the checkout page.

Hi Richard,
Thanks for the reply. I understand how to hide one of the buttons. The problem is that the regular checkout button doesn't seem to be using PayPal, even though that is the only payment option I have selected under Preferences > Checkout & Payment. We are using PayPal Payments Pro. Any ideas why the regular checkout button would ignore the PayPal screen and just go to a standard Shopify checkout screen without asking for credit card info?
Please let me know if you're willing to take a look and I'll email you the site and login.
Thanks, John
