Customer says "YES" to marketing....now what? This post is outdated
We are a new to Shopify (6 weeks or so) and our transition to this great new platform has coincided with a huge spike in sales for the Christmas season. Awsome. Now we have about 1000 customers that clicked "Yes" to the "Do you want to receive marketing?" question when they checked out. A goldmine, I know. But how does Shopify allow us to take that customer data and use it? I have am been searching the APPS and forums and haven't seen much chatter on this topic. Anyone want to point me in the right direction?
Thank you in advance!

Take a look at some of the email marketing apps that link to external resources (MailChimp, Constant Contact). Since these users have opted in, you can easily export them to your email provider and start sending them newsletters or deals (without spamming them 5 times a day).

Thank you Mike! That was really helpful. I will go straight to the app store and see what option will work best for Lazerwood.

If you don't want to use the apps you can purchase software, here is a link to some reviews: http://email-marketing-software-review.toptenreviews.com/

Hi Sarah
mailchimp will give you analytics too .
also - i suggest you can first send the email to only 50 % of your prospects .
Then - once you can see the feedback - you can send remaining emails .
also - mailchimp has good resources about when to send the email and other tips .
Good Luck !
Thanks and best regards
