Custom Variations of the Product page? This post is outdated

Hello guys I am a complete newbie to Shopify with a basic understanding of programming (very basic).

I would like to know if it is possible to make very customized product and collection pages with variations based on which product is showing.

I have build custom and static html for all the products so far and they each need a nivo slider with different images, a different <h2> background image for the title of the product, Also, some products will show more html than others (sections). So would it be possible to identify which product is loaded into the page and then include html (static or not) into the page based on that criteria?

Also is it possible to assoociate a new class to an <h2> tag to display a different background image based on which product page the user is on. If this is not the proper way to do it then which way is, can you give me another suggestion. I am not looking for babysitting. I am happy if I can just get a push in the right direction.

If I am unclear I would love to rephrase.

I am gonna upload an example product page. I also need each product page to keep the collection navigation at the top on the shelf and have active states for which product is selected. How would you do that with liquid?

Btw. The nivo slider part is not finished but you can see the blue iPhone case there which is a part of the slider. I need to load these slider html parts or the images inside them based on which product is showing.

@ui20. These forums are hardly "dead". You're asking for unpaid, volunteer help for what is actually your business. You mention you are not looking for "babysitting", but you do want free labour. Fair enough. Maybe someone out there has a free hour to kill working for free. Or, maybe you could pony up a few dollars and just offer a short term job to someone with the skills to fix your problem.

Would you approach having your house painted the same way? C'mon, someone must want to spend some time scraping, taping, priming and painting my house. I have some lemonade if you get thirsty...

I never asked to have anything done for me. Just asking for help how to do it. I thought that is what the forum was for. Guess I am wrong. I don\t have the budget to outsource every part of the production to others and as such I was trying to learn it myself as it looks pretty easy and useful but sadly not so easy it can be done in a few days with no idea about the direction I should go in.

I am sorry if I hit a nerve by saying the forum seems dead but I think your reply is completely uncalled for.

If you had wanted to offer to do the job you could just have asked me. I was never saying I wouldnt  onsider it as a last resort but I also do plan on learning how to do it myself. Would be great to know what all this hostility is for?

Also may I add that I am doing this for a client not myself and I have experience with wordpress CMS dev and thought as such I could probably learn this too.

No worries mate... you call it hostility, but you're way off the mark. Just trying to steer you straight, help you figure it all out for yourself. Hope you do figure it all out.

Personally, I think the reason you're not getting much of a response is that it is unclear what you really want, and the first impression it leaves is that you're way off the beaten track, so naturally, most people are helpless to suggest anything for you. I code this stuff as a pro and I would not know where to start with your request. Like I say, maybe someone will donate an hour for you... and even then I doubt you'll be homefree.. but then again, I often stand corrected when I shoot from the hip and get called on it. :)

1) send a link to your site... for review, the exact problem URL for example

2) the teeny tiny image you posted is useless at presenting your problem.

Best of luck.
