Change Content Size on Pages in New Standard Theme

Hey everyone. My name is Tyr and this is my shop: http://www.thisisjusttosay.co/

I was trying to insert an image with questions on my FAQ page and add image map so that when people click on questions they will be lead to a different page showing the answer.

So I made this image below. 564x743 pixels. But when I uploaded the image to my FAQ page it got resized to 600 pixels tall thus annoyingly narrow.

My coding skills don't really go beyond following tutorials, so after hours of struggling with the code I just figured it was time I asked for help.

I essentially want to remove the blog sidebar on my pages (About Me page and FAQ page) and be able to insert full-width (ideally 884 pixels like the slides on my homepage) pictures on those pages. But now when I remove the blog sidebar (in Theme Settings), I still get a narrow column of content. Could someone tell me how to expand the content area horizontally after removing the blog sidebar?

My second question is that, when uploading an image to a page using the editor thingy, the biggest you can choose is Grande (600x600). How do I get an image bigger than that on one of my pages?

You should choose 'original' when uploading that image *not* grande. You should be good to go then. Report back if otherwise.

Ah thanks Jamie! That was an embarrassingly easy solution for my problem.

I fixed my FAQ page and it looks pretty neat now!

Could you also enlighten me as how how I can keep the blog sidebar only on my blog page, not on any other pages (About Me, FAQ, etc.)? Thanks!

Hi, I would like to ask a similar question.

I understand that for pages wise, we can remove the side bar. What about removing them for blog tabs?
